Fall in VERNON

The leaves are gone now, but the flashes of brilliance as they were leaving were stellar.

The Sun helped the beauty of these trees as they changed over.

The Rt. 23 reservoir was gourgeous this morning!

A tree lined road in the heart of town. Why would anyone want to leave town?

A tree in full change...stunning!

The BACKYARD

Here I am at the computer again. I have so much to catch up on around the house and certainly my wife can think of so much more. Outside my window is the honeysuckle I planted with the kids years ago. It is now a gorgeous bush that attracts humming birds and bumble bees. My visitor, pictured below is a welcome guest. It forces me to go check my garden.
While there is no humming bird today, the Butterfly bushes at the end of my garden are attracting more welcome guests.

The beautiful butterflies are stunning. I have to stop blogging for a while. I'll check back in later. It's beautiful out, but hot! Be careful.

VIEWS OF VERNON

The Llama here is one of Vernon's residents. There are farm animals all over town and the kids love to stop and look. Watch out, Llamas can be nasty.
Spring is the time to see new calves. That's some of the ski runs on the mountain in the back left.

Hay rolls in the open meadows on a beautiful Spring Day!

Above is the town center of Vernon with the East mountains in view to show the valley.

VERNON, NJ

GOLD!

It's not in the hills around Vernon, although it once was in small quantities. Canistear Mine had small traces.

The real treasure is the families that live here. All sports are available on beautiful fields.

Hiking trails through preserves to see Red Tail Hawks and all the other species. Deer and Bears are around, so you have to be carefull.

Still, when you walk out your front door and see the seasons change, there is no other place than Vernon.

It's a great town for families.
